Named for its location in the heart of Maine's Longfellow Mountains, our creamery produces farmstead artisan cheeses and other dairy products. Our cheeses are named after the different mountain peaks, such as Bigelow Blue and Tumbledown Tomme. We also produce our signature aged Cheddar cheese, Longfellow's Serenade. Because we are a small, family owned farm, we pay extra attention to every aspect of our animals' lives, ensuring a humane, stress-free environment. Our cows are never given growth hormones, antibiotics or animal by-products. The same philosophy guides the treatment of our pigs, goats and veal calves. Our motto is "Nourishing the body, sustaining the spirit and celebrating community". |
