Executive Chef John Lawrence was trained at the Culinary Institute of America, The New York Restaurant School and Johnson and Wales University. He is owner of Pepper's Fine Foods Catering in Northboro, MA, along with his equally passionate and talented wife Susan. John is also an active member of the James Beard Foundation, the IACP and is the President of the Massachusetts Culinary Association as well as being Certified Executive Chef with the American Culinary Federation.
As President of Massachusetts Chapter of the ACF, John has implemented a program connecting local Farmers with area Chefs. This continues the mission he has diligently held at Pepper's Fine Foods Catering for the past 10 years...to encourage and support the fine artisan cheeses and other specialty products produced in our local regions.
John comes by his talent honestly. His Mom was a dietitian, his dad a chef and caterer. From his mother, John learned that great food should be healthy and still taste good. From his father, he learned to always be on time and to never lower your standards. John's son, Chris Lawrence, continues the family tradition as the Garde Manager Chef at Pepper's.
